eGeneration, a leading systems integration and software solutions company, has entered into a strategic partnership with NRB Bank to implement a Fortinet-based Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution. This collaboration aims to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery across NRB Bank by safeguarding its websites and web applications from sophisticated web-based cyber threats.

Under this engagement, eGeneration will implement, commission, and migrate multiple application modules, including Mobile Banking, Agent Banking, Internet Banking, and Straight Banking, from NRB Bank’s existing WAF solution to the new Fortinet platform.

The newly deployed solution will deliver five times higher throughput, ensuring faster response times for e-commerce customers and improved scalability to support future business growth. In addition, higher storage capacity will enable extended log retention, facilitate advanced forensics and analytics while significantly reducing incident response times.

This implementation establishes a strong cybersecurity foundation for the continued expansion of NRB Bank’s digital banking platform, aligned with industry’s best practices and regulatory requirements.

eGeneration has successfully delivered similar solutions for several leading institutions, including Modhumoti Bank, Midland Bank, National Bank, Dhaka Stock Exchange and many more reinforcing its proven expertise in enterprise cybersecurity implementations.
